Applications

  • Applied to single or multiple six-pulse variable frequency drives.
  • Low-frequency harmonic environments created by three-phase six-pulse rectifier loads, including the 5th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 17th, 19th, 23rd and 25th harmonics.
  • Other rectifier loads made up of six-pulse three-phase diode or silicon-controlled rectifiers.
  • Industrial and commercial distribution systems that need better power quality and to keep most input harmonic currents from reflecting back into the power system.

Product Features

  • Non-wave-trap design: No system analysis is required, and performance is unaffected by system impedance, load or harmonics.
  • Excellent harmonic suppression: Handles the low-frequency harmonics produced by three-phase six-pulse rectifier loads; at full load, current and voltage harmonic distortion meet the limits defined by IEEE-519, delivering 5%–12% THID.
  • High stability and safety: No need to tune the filter's resonant frequency or adjust variable capacitors, inductors or other components. The series passive structure is a low-pass filter made of inductors and capacitors plus damping resistors, providing excellent protection against filter over-excitation and resonance; it does not resonate with the power system.
  • No mutual interference: Other harmonic loads connected upstream are not absorbed by the filter, and there is no interaction with other harmonic mitigation equipment on the power system.
  • High quality and international standards: The entire series is ISO 9000 certified and fully tested before shipment. Products are designed and manufactured to international harmonic standards including BS G5/3, EN 61000-3-4, AS-2279 and IEEE-519.
  • Flexible installation and cooling: Choose an independent enclosure or an open panel construction integrated with the drive in a single cabinet. Forced fan cooling is required, and all internal filter connections use copper conductors.
